Crazy bones was formed in the late 1980s and stopped in 1995. Bascially the band was located in the East Jylland, Århus and Fredericia but had most of the gigs in Odense and Fredericia. The band consisted of Finn, Torben and Jørgen D.N., Hans on drums and Lee on bass. Sometimes friends played along on stage.
The band stared as a Grateful Dead copy band, thereof came the name Crazy Bones. But quickly standard rock sneaked in. In the start it was almost as it was Uncle Johns Band. Finnguitar have heard that Crazy Bones had long but often disrupted story.
The yuppies went down The band was formed after all the yuppies went down and was often ironically mentioned as the a hip rock band. And the name to not so wrong as the band played long meditative runs and long improvised solos. The band had a quite sophisticated sound which often sounded like a revivial of the pscydelic period. Often the music floated as freely Jefferson Airplane although the band only played very few Jefferson Airplane songs.
The basic for the sound was the special guitar play by Finn and Jørgen D.N. The sound was really floating, driving and close to the Byrds. The vocal was not prioritised very high. Often Jørgen or Finn sang two verses, then a long solo and then again one to two verses of the song.At live gigs there were always an acoustic session in the break mainly Finn and Jørgen played, sometimes good friends as Hans and Steve joined with light percussion.
The band stopped palying and Finn started to play with Ernst. The music started with same high intentions as Carzy bones based on the mentioned glorious background. But as time went by the style became obsolite. Finn and Ernst moved towards more and more standards and popular party music. But there were no real audience for this kind of music.
Situation where Finn practice standards with Ernst
The late 1990's Faced with this artistic slippery down slope Finn started in the mid 1990's to compose own music and found an small but dedicated cult audience in Copenhagen. But it did not when this trend dissolved into more popular sing a long and as a consequence Finn took a long break.
After the break in the late 1990s and until the end in 1995 Finn played more standard rock with focus on the vocal and with no place for long solos. The room for improvisation became smaller and smaller abd the sound harder and harder. But Finn found out that his simple hand made blues and folk songs had a larger live audience than he thought possible. In this period Finn often also played gigs in small clubs where he always introduced 5-10 then of his own new songs.

The early 2000s Actually Finn and Ernst as developed a great style where two guitars in the pratice session rally completed each other anf this is seldom in the history of rock music. This style was practiced live and as a consequence fadedout around 2004. A few attempt has since tried to revive this excellet guitar work lately in NEF but finn and Ernst never again achieved the sound, which probably now has been lost for ever as no recordings exists.
